About the Role
As a Technical Procurement Coordinator, you operate at the intersection between buyers and technical case handlers, focusing on analyzing technical data and keeping article data updated in the systems. You support buyers in selecting the right materials and contribute knowledge about suppliers' ability to produce and deliver against requirements – materials that ultimately become parts of advanced marine defense systems.

A key responsibility is creating new procurement articles with the correct information in the material catalog, making them purchasable. You work closely with project managers, designers, and buyers, providing technical expertise as support when questions arise from suppliers. This is a long-term role where you gradually build deep knowledge of materials and components.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Create new procurement articles in the material catalog and ensure mandatory attributes are registered so that articles become purchasable
• Create purchase requisitions based on needs in the system and consolidate purchases in a cost-effective manner
• Procure materials for projects where deliveries occur over a longer period (forecast purchasing)
• Assist buyers and other functions with technical expertise, including handling questions from suppliers

We are looking for someone with a genuine technical interest who thrives working at a detailed level. You have high social competence, and the role involves collaboration with many people and functions – willingness to collaborate, a service-oriented attitude, and attention to detail are therefore crucial. You handle a high workload with good ability to plan your own work, and you have the patience to build deep knowledge over time. Great emphasis is placed on your personal suitability; you may have a broad background and still do an excellent job in this role.

We are looking for someone who has

• Relevant education in economics, procurement, production, technology, or similar
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in procurement combined with production or technology, or a technical role with an interest in procurement
• Fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Good knowledge of Office programs
• Ability to undergo and pass a security clearance prior to employment, which may entail citizenship requirements

• Previous experience in spare parts procurement, both the technical aspect and purchasing
• Knowledge of different types of materials, such as steel, sheet metal, fasteners, or electrical components
• Experience from a role at the interface between technology, production, and procurement
• Analytical ability and interest in details

The client company is a leading player in Swedish defense and security technology with a strong marine operation in Karlskrona. Here, some of the world's most advanced surface combatants, submarines, and underwater systems are developed, built, and maintained. The operation is in an expansion phase with large, long-term investments.
