The Inspection for Health and Care (IVO) is seeking a lawyer with an interest in digitalization issues for the Authority's Legal Department, located in Legal Unit 1.
Legal Unit 1 works with the development, support, and coordination of qualified and authority-wide legal issues. The Legal Department plays a vital role in IVO's development work to increase consistency and strengthen legal application.
As a lawyer in the Legal Department, you will participate in the authority's work to create conditions for uniform and correct legal application and be involved in the authority's development work. This means you must be prepared to work in a changing environment and thrive in it. The role involves many contact surfaces and collaboration, especially with the supervision departments and the authority's other lawyers.
About the job
We are currently seeking legal reinforcement for IVO's digitalization work. Current legal areas include data protection (GDPR), IT law, contracts, and procurement. The position also includes other tasks related to the department's area of responsibility.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
- A Master of Laws degree (Juristexamen) or a Candidate of Laws degree (Jur.kand.)
- Current experience of legal work in the public sector
- Knowledge of the administrative legal framework, including data protection (GDPR)
- Knowledge of contract law, IT law, and/or procurement law
- Practical experience working with digitalization issues and/or procurement
- Experience working in a consultative role
Personal qualities
To succeed in the role, you need to be development-oriented and flexible in your way of collaborating with others. You enjoy working both independently and in teams and are accustomed to taking on different roles depending on what the situation requires. You have a good ability to be clear and structured in your communication, both verbally and in writing. We also value strong analytical skills. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Knowledge of legislation relevant to IVO's mandate
- Experience in project management
Workplace description
On December 1, 2025, a Legal Department was established at IVO – an important initiative where the department will strengthen and develop the authority's legal work. The Legal Department works with legal support in supervision and licensing procedures, as well as authority-wide legal issues.

Employment type: Permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
Location: Stockholm.
Working hours: Flexible hours / Trust-based working hours.
Start date: According to agreement.
Travel may occur in the role.
