About the Agency
Forum for Living History is a government agency under the Ministry of Culture. Our mission is to promote democracy, human rights, and the equal value of all people. Through knowledge of history, we aim to contribute to reflection and learning about how the past and present are connected. Our starting point is the lessons learned from the Holocaust, crimes against humanity committed by communist regimes, as well as other crimes against humanity in history.
Our work focuses on knowledge, education, and culture. We produce exhibitions, further training courses, reports, school materials, and host seminars and discussions. Our activities take place throughout Sweden, both digitally and in person, often in collaboration with local, national, and international partners.
We have approximately 50 employees, and our office and public spaces are located in Gamla Stan (Old Town) in Stockholm. We offer interesting work in a workplace characterized by great commitment and both broad and deep knowledge of our fields. We offer wellness benefits and wellness hours, and if the work permits, there is also the possibility to work remotely for part of the time.
