About the Workplace
Ersta Diakoni is Sweden's largest non-profit organization within healthcare and social care. We provide medical care, social work, research, and education in a professional manner and without profit motive.
Our social operations include nursing homes, home care services, LSS (Law on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) activities, and social support. Every day, we meet elderly people, individuals with disabilities, and people in vulnerable life situations with the goal of creating security, independence, and quality of life.
As a Quality Developer and Socially Responsible Coordinator (SAS), you will have the opportunity to contribute to the quality of operations that make a real difference for many people. Here, care as a competence is combined with systematic quality work where the individual's needs are always at the center. You will become part of a non-profit organization where development, quality, and humanity go hand in hand.
We offer you:
- meaningful work in a values-driven organization
- the opportunity to influence and develop future care
- engaged and competent colleagues
- extensive contact areas and close collaboration with the operations
- a workplace where we see the whole person – both those we serve and our employees
- a range of benefits that we hope will give you the conditions to thrive at work and have a rewarding leisure time.
About the Role
This is a key role in our initiative to strengthen and further develop quality work within the social sector. You will become part of our quality organization for Ersta Diakoni's social operations and report to the Quality Manager. At the same time, you work closely with the operations and contribute to making quality and development a natural part of everyday life.
The role combines the SAS assignment with broad quality development responsibilities. Approximately half of the work involves SAS-related issues such as Lex Sarah, legal monitoring, and regulatory compliance. The other half involves developing working methods, following up on results, and driving improvement work together with the operations.
In the role, you will among other things:
- support and guide managers in quality and improvement work
- monitor legislation and ensure that operations work in accordance with current regulations
- support operations in Lex Sarah investigations and reports to IVO (Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate)
- develop and maintain routines, guidelines, and working methods
- plan and conduct training and competence-enhancing initiatives
- support operations in risk analyses, deviation management, and self-inspections
- follow up, analyze, and develop quality results
- contribute to internal audits, quality accounts, and cross-operational development work
- monitor the external environment and translate new knowledge into practical operational development.
Who are you?
To thrive and succeed in the role, we believe you are a person who combines structure and analysis with a genuine commitment to quality and development. You easily build trusting relationships and collaborate well with people in different roles and operations. You are pedagogical and confident in supporting, guiding, and challenging managers and operations in their development work.
We also believe that you:
- work systematically and have the ability to drive issues forward
- are receptive and have good collaboration skills
- are unpretentious and contribute to a good collaboration climate
- thrive in a role with many contact areas
- have the ability to translate requirements and regulations into practical and operationally close working methods.
You share Ersta's value base of seeing the whole person and our core values: professionalism, trust, and hope.
Your Experience
We are looking for you who have:
- relevant higher education in social work or health and medical care
- experience as a manager, coordinator, operational developer, or other leading role within social work
- good understanding of how quality work, legislation, and operational development interact
- experience in interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and guidelines
- very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- good IT skills and experience working in digital systems.
It is meritorious if you have experience of:
- project or process management
- document management and management systems
- systematic improvement work.
