The Department of Hematology, Oncology and Radiation Physics (VO HOS) is one of the largest departments at Skåne University Hospital. Our clinical research unit, shared between hematology and oncology, conducts both academic and industry-sponsored clinical trials – from First-In-Human (FIH) and Phase I to Phase IV.
We collaborate closely with clinical care in both Lund and Malmö, working to provide cutting-edge cancer care strongly linked to research and development. The department operates in close cooperation with Lund University and Malmö University.
Approximately 40 employees work here, primarily nurses, but also assistant nurses, biomedical analysts, and medical secretaries. Together, we currently run around 100 ongoing studies in oncology and hematology.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Research Nurse here, you work in close collaboration with other research nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. You also interact with external parties, such as pharmaceutical companies and monitors. The role is varied and involves being engaged in several clinical trials simultaneously.
As a Research Nurse, you meet trial participants during study visits, which requires a professional approach, empathy, and the ability to create a sense of security in a research-oriented care setting.
The position involves participating in the entire study process, from planning and initiation to the execution of clinical trials. The work places high demands on quality, structure, and precision. You work both independently and in teams, with responsibility for driving the work forward according to set goals and timeframes.
Travel may be required for the position, both nationally and internationally, for example in connection with investigator meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 or higher according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement. Furthermore, you have a good command of English, both spoken and written. You are also a proficient computer user with good knowledge of the Office package.
You are confident in your professional role, and we would appreciate that you have a few years of experience after graduation. It is meritorious if you have experience of clinical trials or research projects, as well as work within oncology and/or hematology. Knowledge of Melior and experience working with Case Report Forms (CRF), as well as training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), are desirable.
As a person, you are structured, precise, and have a good ability to plan and prioritize your work. You enjoy taking responsibility, are flexible, and find it easy to collaborate with both internal and external contacts. You actively contribute to a positive and professional work climate and have a genuine interest in developing the operations together with your colleagues.
