Barnavårdscentralen Sesam (Child Health Center Sesam) is a popular child health center with extensive experience and a large number of visitors. We continuously work to improve and develop our workplace and are now looking for a new colleague who wants to contribute to providing our children with the best possible care!

We welcome you who are a pediatric nurse or a district nurse to an stimulating and varied assignment where you will also have the opportunity to help develop the operations.

Child Health Center Sesam is located in a multicultural area, and we who work here are a cheerful group that makes a difference every day. In addition to the Child Health Center (BVC), there is also a Mother Health Center with midwives.

BVC Sesam is part of the Family Center Sesam. Here, the BVC collaborates with open preschools and social services to provide comprehensive support for children and families. A family center is unique in that we who work here can more easily collaborate and find solutions for different needs. This makes it easier for children and guardians to quickly and easily get help when a need for extra support arises.

We have close cooperation around the families and work according to the Child Health Care Basic Program with targeted interventions based on the families' needs. At the family center, we meet patients from many cultures with different language backgrounds, which means that working with interpreters becomes a natural part of our work. The BVC has close cooperation with the doctors, physiotherapists, and nurses at Kryddgården Health Center.

DUTIES

Do you want to work at the BVC but at the same time have the opportunity to work closely with social workers, open preschools, and midwives, in order to best support and put the children and their families at the center?

As a pediatric nurse/district nurse with us, common tasks within the BVC are included, such as home visits, booked visits, telephone advice, open reception, and vaccinations including BCG vaccine. Together with the doctors, we also have team visits, and you collaborate with other actors at the family center. Furthermore, external supervision for the entire family center and supervision with the child health care psychologists are included.

We offer you regular training within child health care but also in other areas that are valuable for the operations. You have great opportunities to influence your own training based on needs and interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with further education as a pediatric nurse or alternatively a district nurse with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. It is meritorious if you have experience working with child health care. We also see it as meritorious if you have parent support training such as COS-p or other similar training. EPDS training and experience of previously working with the medical record system PMO are also seen as meritorious.

As a person, we see that you are flexible, accustomed to adapting to different situations, and have an easy time collaborating. You thrive with variation in your work, put your patients in focus, and want the best for the families. Furthermore, you are proactive, engaged, and want to develop the operations forward. You also have a great interest in health promotion work. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

In addition to your work with the Child Health Care Basic Program and targeted interventions adapted to the families' needs, we offer you a workplace where you have close cooperation with all colleagues at the family center.
