The Clinical Immunology and Transfusion Medicine (KIT) business area operates at ten hospitals in Skåne and has over 200 employees. The department is responsible for laboratory activities within clinical immunology, transfusion medicine, and transplant immunology, as well as blood donation in Skåne. KIT has a mandate to provide the healthcare system in Region Skåne with high-quality blood components to enable modern healthcare for acute and chronic conditions. The operations are accredited, and some parts of the activities are centralized to Lund. We are organized in processes with unit managers, medical directors, and process leaders working in close cooperation.

Job Description

As a biomedical analyst with us, you will have a varied and meaningful job where the meeting with the blood donor is at the center. You are responsible for the entire blood donation process, from receiving and assessing donors to performing the donation and monitoring the donor's well-being during and after the donation.

Your employment is based on Skåne's new blood bus, where you will be part of a team based in Helsingborg. The work involves regular travel to various locations in northwestern Skåne. The team departs from Helsingborg and travels together with a follow-up vehicle to the bus's various stops. All employees help out and work at all units as needed, with some rotation also included at the fixed Blood Centre in Helsingborg. Through good staffing planning, we can offer the best possible availability for our blood donors and a good working environment for our employees.

The position also includes:

• Actively participating in the recruitment of new blood donors through various events, information, and marketing activities.
• Contributing to business development and improvement work.
• Mentoring and introducing students and new colleagues.

Working hours are scheduled on weekdays with day and evening shifts, as well as some Saturdays.

Qualifications

You who apply are a licensed biomedical analyst or alternatively a licensed nurse with eligibility to work in Swedish healthcare. Good language skills in Swedish, at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale, are required. You must have a valid B-driver's license as the position involves regular travel with a follow-up vehicle to reach the Blood Bus stops. You have a genuine interest in working with blood donors, and we consider it an advantage if you have previously worked at a blood center, blood bus, or similar operation.
