We are now looking for a temporary Environmental Inspector with a focus on health protection. Here, you will have a varied assignment, support from engaged colleagues, and the opportunity to work on issues that affect people's health and the environment in everyday life.
Your Assignment
As an Environmental Inspector, you work with supervision and case processing within the field of health protection according to the Environmental Code.
The position is a temporary assignment during the regular inspector's parental leave. To create good conditions for the assignment, a handover takes place both before and after the leave.
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Conduct supervision of schools, housing, and hygienic businesses.
- Process complaint cases, for example regarding indoor environment and noise.
- Process notifications within the field of health protection and local regulations.
- Provide information and guidance to business operators and the public.
- Make decisions and document cases according to current legislation.
Your Experience
We are looking for you who:
- Have a university or college education in environmental and health protection or other education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Have knowledge of the Environmental Code and other relevant legislation.
- Have an understanding of what public authority enforcement entails.
- Have good skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Have a B driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience of supervision according to the Environmental Code.
- Knowledge of digital case management systems; we use Ecos.

About the Workplace
At the supervision unit, twelve inspectors work with supervision according to the Environmental Code and the Food Act. Two of the inspectors work with health protection.
You are responsible for your own cases but have close collaboration with colleagues. We have joint supervision meetings every week where we discuss current issues and share experiences.
We continuously work on developing our working methods through digital solutions, administrative support, and improved processes for case processing and supervision.
