We are now looking for a Microbiologist who is curious and interested in developing within our broad and varied range of medicines that make a difference for patients with special needs.
The Role
You will be part of a tight-knit team characterized by an open climate with a clear focus on collaboration, where everyone helps ensure high quality throughout all processes, meeting both short-term and long-term deadlines.
Analysis of medicines, raw materials, and water is performed according to methods described in the European Pharmacopoeia, such as determining the count of viable microorganisms and testing for specific disease-causing microorganisms. Production premises are monitored through particle counting and analysis of viable microorganisms in air and on surfaces. Identification of microbiological isolates is performed as needed. Preparation of culture media and other reagents may also be part of the duties, as well as validation of methods, instruments, and premises.
Work is carried out in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), including all associated documentation, deviation handling, change control, etc. Microbiological analysis of samples from other pharmaceutical companies is part of the operations, and collaboration with external customers is part of your daily tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Laboratory work in the form of microbiological analyses.
- Conducting deviation investigations and improvement work.
- Instrument responsibility.
The position is a permanent employment that may begin with a probationary period. The working hours are full-time, 40 hours per week, scheduled during daytime Monday to Friday. Start date is by agreement, and the location is Malmö.
Who Are You?
We are looking for you who have an academic education with a focus on microbiology or equivalent experience.
- You have 2–5 years of experience working in a microbiological laboratory.
- We prefer that you have experience in microbiological control of water, raw materials, and packaging, as well as hygiene sampling.
- Experience in report writing.
- Good knowledge of GMP and related regulations.
- Experience with Lean, improvement work, and molecular biology is a plus.
- Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
We are looking for someone who is experienced, knowledgeable, and enjoys laboratory work. Important personal qualities are the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You can quickly grasp new complex issues and have strong analytical skills.
APL is characterized by an open and dynamic atmosphere with short decision-making paths. To thrive here, our values – business-minded, receptive, solution-oriented, and responsible – must align with yours.
All employees have an individual development plan and clear goals that are continuously followed up. This gives everyone the opportunity to influence their own situation and contribute to our shared development, and we actively encourage internal mobility.
You will have access to a benefits portal where we gather our perks and offers, such as fitness subsidies and meal benefits. We have collective agreements with Unionen and SACO, along with associated benefits, such as occupational pension, insurance, flexitime, and extra holidays on bridge days.
