Within the Orthopedics Business Area at Skåne University Hospital (Sus), approximately 500 employees work, and we are one of Sweden's largest orthopedic operations with activities in both Lund and Malmö.
Each year, we receive approximately 85,000 visits at our clinics and have about 6,700 inpatients. Children and adults of all ages visit the clinic for various orthopedic conditions. The Lund orthopedic clinic provides highly specialized care and handles patients from the arthro, trauma, tumor, and pediatric sections. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, plaster technicians, doctors, counselors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, administrators, and medical secretaries work. We work in interprofessional teams where collaboration and service are the cornerstones of our operations.

We are a cheerful group at the orthopedic clinic in Lund, and since one of our employees will begin specialist studies this autumn, we welcome a new nursing colleague on a fixed-term contract.

DUTIES

We are looking for a registered nurse with an interest in orthopedic patients of all ages.

Our clinic is characterized by a warm climate with a good atmosphere and care for each other. The employees work together for a good work environment with the patient's best interest in focus. We are incredibly proud of our non-hierarchical collaboration!

The work as a nurse with us is both varied, stimulating, and educational, with opportunities for personal development, competence development, and involvement in the clinic's development work. The duties at the clinic include, among other things, clinic work together with doctors, arthroplasty clinic, coordination, patient counseling via phone and 1177, wound care, dressing changes, surgical planning, as well as support and information pre- and post-operatively.

The working hours at the clinic are weekdays during the day, but the position may involve 2 weekend shifts in inpatient care per five-week period.

If you choose to work with us, you will be introduced to the work based on your previous knowledge. Together with experienced colleagues and the unit manager, you will be guided into your new work with an individual introduction program where you gradually build up the competence to handle the clinic's various tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who apply are a registered nurse with the right to practice in Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale are a requirement. This can also mean a passing grade in Swedish 3 or alternatively a passing grade in Swedish as a Second Language 3, or a passing result on a course in Swedish for non-Nordic students equivalent to 60 hp.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience of clinic work or previous experience of surgical planning. Furthermore, we would like you to have experience within orthopedic or surgical operations.
