Väskolan is located just outside central Kristianstad in a residential area. We have approximately 540 students and provide education from preschool class (F) to grade 9. The school has 4 after-school care units for students who need care after the school day ends. We work together to give students the very best prerequisites for life.

Your role with us

As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching to the level of all students, with a focus on the student's best interest.

Through dialogue, you create good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you keep up to date with events in the world and the daily lives of young people. Alternative learning tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on the practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the work group/school. You also share responsibility for your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new as a teacher, you are supported by a mentor for the best guidance in your work, and if you are an unqualified teacher, you can conduct teaching but not be responsible for it. A certified teacher is responsible for grading.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching license with eligibility to teach grades 3-9 in the subject of wood and metal crafts in primary school. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the above-mentioned subject. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at the university level. You need to have teaching experience, and we would like you to have previously worked as a teacher in the later years of primary school in wood and metal crafts or alternatively worked with young people aged 12-16. Good ability to teach children in need of special support is an advantage, as is the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites, and your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calmness, and a desire to learn. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is that you can create trusting relationships both inside and outside school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure the work based on the stated goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-versed, and you live up to the ethical principles for teachers, as well as having a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

To enable us to make a decision on your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified certified teachers, you as an unqualified person can be employed temporarily according to the Education Act. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police record to enable us to employ you, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
