Your role with us

You are responsible for teaching in the leisure centre activities for students in grade 1, combined with classroom teaching together with teachers based on the students' needs. Your main task is to create quality-assured teaching in the leisure centre and at school that is interesting and enthusiastic, according to the goals of the curriculum.

You also work based on democratic values and take into account what students want in the leisure centre activities. To ensure that the operation follows a red thread regarding planning and different students' needs, collaboration takes place with primary school teachers and preschool teachers. Together with your colleagues, you are also responsible for and lead outdoor activities and break-time activities.

Your relationships with students are characterized by mutual respect, cooperation, trust-based approach, and positive expectations. You dare to set demands on students and are clear about the expectations placed. Documentation of the leisure centre activities is also included. Furthermore, you are active in collegial learning and systematically reflect on the work individually and together with others, linked to the goals of the operation and influences from the outside world.

Who are we looking for?

You who apply have a teaching license with eligibility to conduct teaching in the leisure centre in primary school. We want you to have experience from work within pedagogical activities, and it is an advantage if you have worked as a teacher in the leisure centre.

You are well acquainted with and live up to the ethical principles for teachers, and have the ability to promote democratic values and start from the premise that all children/students are of equal value. Furthermore, you handle leadership in the leisure centre/classroom and work with goal-oriented management, planning, and documentation.

You have the ability to inspire, create interest, and meet children at the level they are at. The ability to choose pedagogical tools based on the individual's needs is required in the work. We would like you to have a good ability to teach children in need of special support, and you have the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise. You should be able to integrate digital technology into daily operations and as a tool in your own work. Your good communication skills, sensitivity, and cooperation skills are required to create trust-based relationships with contacts within and outside the school.

To enable us to decide on your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. When we want to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police criminal record to enable us to employ you, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

About 500 students attend our school. The school is located in three different buildings. The schoolyard invites to many different activities with its natural elements of bushes and trees. There are also playgrounds, football fields, and a basketball court. Within walking and cycling distance are Fjälkinge backe, Lilles backe, and the nature-rich Kjugekull.

At the upper secondary level of Fjälkinge School, a football academy is run in cooperation with Malmö FF, where the goal is for the student to develop both academically and as a football player.

The Safety Team is an important activity at Fjälkinge School. They contribute with activities and theme days to increase well-being and cohesion for our students throughout the school, from preschool class to grade 9.

It is easy to get to Fjälkinge School by both train and bus.

The Child and Education Administration conducts pedagogical activities ranging from preschool to adult education.
