About the Workplace

Frostaskolan is centrally located in Hörby, near the museum, the public library, and the School of Music and Arts. In the immediate vicinity, you will also find Hörby Sportcenter, Lågehallarna – where students have their physical education classes – and the Lågedammarnas Nature Reserve.

Frostaskolan consists of the units F-6 and the leisure center (fritidshem) as well as grades 7-9. In total, there are approximately 500 students at the school. In 2029, the upper secondary level (grades 7-9) will move to a newly built school to be constructed on the Frostaskolan campus.

The activities at Frostaskolan are characterized by inclusion, security, knowledge, and optimism for the future. We have high expectations for our students, and we want them to feel confidence in their own abilities and experience the joy and satisfaction that comes from succeeding and overcoming difficulties. Municipality-wide focus areas are language development, mathematics, and attendance.

Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a new colleague who takes joy in their work and wants to help develop our leisure center together with us. As a teacher in the leisure center, active work focused on relationship building and value-based work is a given. Your task is to be responsible for our enrolled students in our leisure activities for grades F-6. We strive to offer a secure environment for our students. All children are everyone's responsibility, and we build our activities with the individual in focus.

The position of teacher in the leisure center also includes work during school hours with close collaboration with teachers and classes.

The school's leisure staff has scheduled planning in the form of department planning, team planning, individual planning, as well as planning with teachers. Together with colleagues, you will plan, implement, and evaluate the pedagogical activities of the leisure center.

Qualifications

• You have a teaching degree with eligibility for the leisure center.
• You have a good ability to adapt teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites.
• You have a clear goal focus, based on the activities' governing documents.
• You have good collaboration skills and are receptive, building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• You have clear and secure leadership in your teaching and are a positive role model.
• You are engaged and have the students' best interests at heart.

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: August 10, 2026, or as agreed.
Working Hours: Daytime.
