The Department of Aeronautics at LTH, Lund University, is recruiting an Assistant Professor.
The position is attached to the Department of Aeronautics, a knowledge hub for research, development, and education within the aeronautical sciences. Through collaboration, we aim to understand, explain, and improve aviation towards an accessible, sustainable, and safe society in the digital age. The department's research focus areas are Sustainable Aviation, Unmanned Aviation, and Flight Safety.
The department offers extensive education for both manned (Approved Training Organisation, ATO) and unmanned (Authorized Drone School, ADS) aviation. We train pilots for heavy commercial air transport, transport pilots for the Swedish Armed Forces, as well as UAS pilots within the Open and Specific categories.
A key strength of our department is the close collaboration between the educational organization and research, as well as among researchers across different specializations.
Work location: Ljungbyhed
Subject: Aeronautical Sciences with a focus on flight safety and regulatory aspects of new technology in aviation.
