Teacher with Extended Responsibilities at Prästavångsskolan in Östra Göinge

Prästavångsskolan has a total of approximately 360 students. Currently, the school is divided by stage into two school units, but in autumn 2026, the school will be merged into one F-6 school. At the school, we have five after-school care departments; four annual after-school departments for grades F-3 and a joint after-school club for the older students in grades 4-6.
The school has worked health-promoting for many years through health councils, value foundation teams, and student health teams. Our sports initiative in cooperation with RF-SISU Skåne permeates a large part of the school's operations and breaks. In recent years, we have also become a "Reading Owns" school and linked reading with movement with extra reading-promoting initiatives before and during holidays. Reading should be a natural part of both the school and the after-school care.

Job Responsibilities
You work as a teacher in after-school care with an extended assignment to, in close cooperation with the principal and deputy principal, develop the pedagogical operations. The assignment also includes a special development assignment related to the working method "Reading Owns" and possibly responsibility for music education in grade F2.
You have a key role in leading collegial learning and contributing to the development of teaching in after-school care with a focus on quality, goal fulfillment, and long-term school development. You systematically follow up, analyze, and develop teaching and results based on steering documents and set goals.
You drive development processes within the framework of systematic quality work, mentor colleagues, spread relevant research, and actively contribute to a learning organization. The assignment also includes creating good collaboration between after-school care and school to strengthen the students' whole day in our operations.
You keep up to date with new findings in school development through environmental monitoring and relevant research.
Concrete job responsibilities may include:
- Lead pedagogical discussions and develop the teacher's role and teaching in after-school care together
- Strengthen teachers' ability to use each other as resources in teaching
- Present new research to colleagues
- Support colleagues to anchor teaching in research and proven experience
- Have an open after-school care for visits from administration, principal, colleagues, parents, and invited guests
- Mentor and support colleagues
- Be a supervisor for teacher students in their practice-based education
- Participate in the school unit's development organization and systematic quality work, as well as in municipality-wide networks.
Qualifications
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following conditions:
- Be a certified teacher in after-school care
- Be able to document at least four years of well-recognized work with teaching within the school system or after-school activities
- Have shown particularly good ability to improve students' goal fulfillment through systematic quality work
- Be assessed as particularly qualified for teaching and have a good ability to contribute to a learning organization
You are a professionally skilled teacher who actively develops teaching and operations. You inspire, mentor, and support colleagues and contribute to joint learning.
You have a professional attitude, build good relationships, and have an inclusive view of students with high expectations. Your teaching is characterized by participation, engagement, flexibility, and student influence.
You have experience with language-developing working methods, preferably linked to "Reading Owns," and can integrate aesthetic learning processes that strengthen language, creativity, and desire to learn.
You work based on research and proven experience, reflect on your practice, and contribute to school development. Experience in language development, health work, and value foundation work is meritorious. You use digital tools and communicate well in speech and writing.
