Korsavadsskolan is a lower secondary school (grades 7-9) with approximately 400 students currently enrolled across 17 classes. Organizationally, the school is divided into three year-group-based homeroom units, each with its own teaching team comprising 5-6 classes. Social workers and special education teachers provide support to these units.

Job Responsibilities

We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented teacher of German for grades 7-9. An additional subject is an advantage.

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, documenting, and analyzing the teaching in the groups you instruct. You collaborate well with colleagues and management, viewing collegial learning as an opportunity for both individual and collective development. You are also open in your teaching and gladly invite colleagues to participate. You have a good ability to adapt your teaching to the students' prerequisites and collaborate with the student health services as needed.

In addition to teaching German, you will serve as a homeroom teacher (mentor) for a class. This is a significant part of your responsibilities. As a mentor, you follow up on your mentees' knowledge development and collaborate closely with the students and their guardians.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with the qualifications to teach German in grades 7-9.

You have a very good ability to build student relationships that support the student's development towards the goals, and relationship-building permeates your work, both inside and outside the classroom. You also have the ability to create trusting and close contact with guardians, as we value collaboration with homes. The ability to build good relationships with students and guardians is a qualification that carries significant weight and can be decisive in the hiring process.

You have the ability to create engagement among students through your clear leadership. You have strong didactic skills and can therefore lead and organize your work with the aim of creating a conducive learning environment and study atmosphere.

You will become part of the school's subject group for modern languages, where you will collaborate on planning, assessment, and development of teaching. You will base your work on a common year-group plan and strive for equity in the teaching of modern languages.

The role of teacher with us also includes taking shared responsibility for students, regardless of grade level. Our ambition is to be a school with a high density of adults, and as part of our staff, you will take individual initiatives to be present among the students, inside and outside the classroom. You actively work to build good student relationships.
