About the role and your responsibilities

Together with the Employment and Social Services Administration, we will launch a project aimed at offering support measures to individuals needing language support. Two employment consultants will also be hired to work closely with you as colleagues, and together you will design the intervention. The work is based at Komvux (Adult Education) in Lund, but it may also involve visiting participants' internship placements. A researcher will be attached to the project.

The team will work with individuals receiving social assistance, using a Motivational Interviewing (MI) inspired approach, Supported Employment, and BIP (Bipartite Intervention Planning). The target group consists of individuals who, to varying degrees, need support to establish themselves on the labor market.

You will not teach regular SFI/SVA courses, but will primarily teach study-motivating functional Swedish as a second language. You will also teach with a language focus on working life, the labor market, and vocational Swedish within specific industries.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with experience teaching adult students with limited prior schooling and very basic knowledge of Swedish. You have knowledge and experience in literacy education. You have great patience and a strong belief in the individual's ability to learn. You easily build relationships and have the ability to see connections, create structure, and develop clear processes.

The tasks require you to be self-reliant while also being able to develop together with others and collaborate in a team.

We would appreciate if you have experience from similar labor market projects or other teaching related to the labor market, working life, or vocational training.

The position is a holiday cover position (40 hours per week) where you will teach up to 24 hours per week.

The advertisement concerns a project employment until 2027-12-31.
