About the position

We are currently looking for a teacher for our adapted comprehensive school, primarily for grades 7–9, with subject responsibility for Swedish and English. In grades 7–9, we work in teams where we share responsibility for teaching and mentorship. Within practical and artistic subjects, subject-specialist teachers conduct the lessons, while you act as additional pedagogical support for the students. You also have an important supportive role during breaks, in the cafeteria, and at taxi pick-ups.

Good relationships with both students and colleagues are crucial for us. All students should feel safe and have their voices heard. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for inspiring, stimulating, and setting demands, so that every student has the opportunity to develop according to their prerequisites and achieve good results. You are well-grounded in current regulatory documents and work consciously with student influence and participation. Your work is based on a scientific foundation, and you actively contribute to the school working towards established goals and driving pedagogical development forward.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility in Swedish and English. Considering the student group, we believe it is suitable to have eligibility for grades 4–6. You will have main responsibility for teaching in Swedish and English.

In your work, you have a clear student focus, see the competent student, are engaged in pedagogical development work, and see opportunities rather than obstacles. You have good knowledge in the subjects you teach, and with your drive and engagement, you inspire your students. You are clear, goal-oriented, and value good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. In your work, you are positive, engaged, have good collaboration skills, and are comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing. Personal suitability is of great importance.

About the employment

The employment is a fixed-term holiday cover position at 100% during the academic year 2026/2027, starting on August 5th.

Before employment with us, we will ask you to present an extract from the Police Record. The requested extract is "School or preschool". You request the extract yourself on the Swedish Police Authority's website: The Criminal Record - request extract | Swedish Police Authority (polisen.se) (https://polisen.se).

Once you have received your extract, you present it to the recruiting manager. The fastest way to get the extract is to use the e-service and order it online with BankId.

You also need to present a passport or a national ID card issued by the police during the interview.

About Tolvåkerskolan

At Tolvåkerskolan – adapted comprehensive school – students attend grades 1 to 9. We share facilities with Tolvåkerskolan F–6 and Tolvåkerskolan 7–9, which allows students in the adapted comprehensive school to have a strong class affiliation within the comprehensive school. We work with the goal that all students are inspired and challenged according to their prerequisites. They should feel the joy of success! We do this by creating well-being and developing each student into an independent and curious person. At the school, we work together to create a strong "we-feeling".

Improving quality through follow-up, evaluation, and development is fundamental to us. We continuously ensure systematic quality work. Our work is based on collegial learning and a culture where we regularly meet to ensure good, quality teaching with the student in focus. Every student has their own computer/tablet, and all classrooms are equipped with modern technology. As a natural consequence of our 1:1 initiative, our educators also have access to personal computers or tablets.
