Are you curious about how the County Administrative Board of Kronoberg works to create a safe, inclusive, and sustainable society? Do your internship with us!
Our Department of Societal Development is now looking for engaged interns for the spring term of 2027 to join our work at the Unit for Social Sustainability. Here, we focus on areas such as human rights, public health, crime prevention, integration, gender equality, national minorities, and violence in close relationships. We collaborate closely with various actors such as municipalities, regions, state authorities, and civil society organizations to promote regional development and cooperation.
Content of the Internship
As an intern with us, you will work together with one of our strategists for social sustainability, but you will also be part of the unit. You will have the opportunity to participate in daily work involving various forms of environmental scanning, networking, analytical work, and much more. You will also contribute to various projects and activities within the unit's areas of responsibility.
In addition to gaining insight into the County Administrative Board's overall work, governance, and leadership, and how a state authority functions, you will assist with various administrative tasks. You will also have your own area of responsibility where, with support from your internship supervisor, you will perform analytical work based on the following task:
Municipality-crossing crime prevention measures
The task involves participating in the County Administrative Board's regional assignments within the framework of crime prevention coordination, which also includes BOB (children and young people in organized crime), exit coordination, and crime prevention parenting support. In addition, as an intern, you will carry out independent work based on the municipal situation reports in Kronoberg County to produce a regional situation report and identify and propose possible municipality-crossing crime prevention measures.
This is an opportunity for you if you:
- are a full-time student at a higher education institution and have at least 1.5 years of academic basic education, preferably at the bachelor's level or alternatively at the master's level
- study political science, criminology, sociology, law, statistics, evaluation and analysis, or have another cross-sectoral focus in your education
- have good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. Knowledge of English, other languages, and national minority languages is an advantage.
As a person, you are independent and analytical, take initiative, and are interested in working with social sustainability from a public perspective.
The internship period should last 10–20 weeks and be part of a full-time academic study program during the spring of 2027. To intern with us, you must be insured through your higher education institution throughout the internship period.
