We are currently looking for a Medical Secretary and Classification Manager for the Classification and Coding Unit. In this role, you will have a region-wide responsibility for classification issues and become a key person in the work to ensure high quality and national uniformity in diagnosis and procedure coding.

Classification and coding are part of the Monitoring and Accessibility Unit. Monitoring and Accessibility belong to the Health and Medical Care Support Staff and are responsible for monitoring and analyzing health and medical care from a management and operational perspective.

Job Responsibilities

As a Medical Secretary and Classification Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting health and medical care operations with correct documentation, registration, and use of healthcare data. You will work both strategically and operationally to develop and quality-assure classification work, contributing to the region's development towards a more knowledge-based and efficient care system.

The position is located within the Monitoring and Accessibility Unit, where you will collaborate closely with healthcare operations, investigators, and IT.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing, applying, and developing classification systems.
Supporting operations in classification and documentation.
Participating in the Southern Healthcare Region's Classification Council.
Monitoring, analyzing, and quality-assuring healthcare data.
Participating in and leading development and improvement projects.
Monitoring the external environment and implementing national guidelines and changes (ICD-11).

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are trained as a Medical Secretary with experience in healthcare documentation and classification. You have advanced education in disease classification and preferably work experience in operational development and/or change management.

To thrive and succeed in this role, you are a structured and meticulous person with a good ability to see details without losing the overall perspective. You work analytically and solution-oriented and are committed to developing and improving methods and processes.

Since the role involves supporting, guiding, and training others, you have a pedagogical approach and the ability to convey knowledge in a clear and inspiring way. You collaborate well with others, build trusting relationships easily, and take initiative to drive development work forward.
