Our client is in an exciting phase of growth and development, investing in creating a modern, efficient, and business-close finance function with high digital maturity. We are now looking for an AP Specialist with a focus on process development and automation. This is a full-time consultancy assignment for 10 months, starting in November. For the right candidate, this may lead to employment with our client afterwards. We are looking for you who wish to take employment as a consultant or work as a sub-consultant with us.

About the role

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for accounts payable, with the goal of creating efficient, scalable, and quality-assured processes. You will work both operationally and strategically to develop working methods, drive improvement initiatives, and implement new solutions. The role involves close collaboration with operations, finance, and system functions, and suits you if you thrive in a changing environment where development is the focus.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for accounts payable with a focus on efficiency, quality, and scalability in processes.
• Map existing working methods and identify areas for improvement related to workflows, responsibilities, and system support.
• Drive automation initiatives with the goal of achieving at least 60% automation in the invoice flow.
• Set up and test new solutions and automations in close collaboration with system support and operations.
• Document processes, routines, and instructions to ensure long-term quality and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure correct posting, approval workflows, and handling of discrepancies in accounts payable.
• Manage dialogue with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding discrepancies and investigations.
• Contribute to establishing a more standardized and transparent way of working within the AP function.

Suitable background

We are looking for you who have experience from accounts payable and preferably have worked with process efficiency, change management, or automation within finance. You have a good understanding of financial flows, posting, and approval processes, and are accustomed to working in business systems and digital tools. Experience in driving improvement initiatives or implementing new system support is considered highly meritorious.

Personal qualities

To succeed in the role, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented with a strong drive to improve and optimize. You enjoy taking initiative and driving change, and have the ability to communicate clearly with different types of stakeholders. Furthermore, you are meticulous and quality-conscious, while maintaining a pragmatic approach and a focus on achieving results.

About the company

This is a 10-month consultancy assignment suitable for both those who wish to invoice through their own company or join us as an employee. The assignment starts in November, and our client is located centrally in Stockholm.
