About Us
The Swedish Customs Service's operational activities are divided into four departments: Control, Revenue, Intelligence, and Customs Crime. The Intelligence Department conducts intelligence activities with deliveries to all parts of the Customs Service. The department handles intelligence and risk analysis and works on intelligence activities within all areas of the Customs Service's mandate, covering both illegal and dangerous goods as well as revenue collection. The work aims to prevent, detect, and prevent criminal activity.
The department is divided into four units with geographical responsibility: South, West, East, and North, and also consists of the Customs Service's Selection Center as well as the unit for strategic analysis and the national desk.
We are now looking for an experienced intelligence case officer for our intelligence unit in the west, with an interest in development issues. The position will be particularly focused on participating in the development work taking place within the Customs Service.
About the Position
The position is a case officer role with a focus on internal development work. As an intelligence case officer, you work with the collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence products. Your daily work involves very close collaboration with intelligence managers and collection resources. - Post-secondary education in e.g., criminology, behavioral science, political science, or other relevant education that the employer considers equivalent.
- Experience in operational intelligence work.
- Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
- Are structured, thorough, and flexible.
- Experience in development work.
- Experience in requirements work, with the ability to analyze and coordinate the organization's needs and translate these into concrete requirements.
- Good IT skills, especially in the Office package.
- Driver's license, class B.
- Swedish citizenship.
Meritorious qualifications
- Education in operational intelligence activities at a government agency.
- Experience in national operational cooperation with primarily law enforcement agencies.
- Experience in investigative work at a government agency.
- Experience working with large amounts of data.
- Experience working with covert surveillance tools.
- Training in the systems that handle covert surveillance tools.
- Good knowledge of iBase, Analyst's Notebook, and other information systems.
- Experience working with graph databases.
Personal qualities

- Innovation: Participates actively in change work by contributing ideas on how to develop and streamline operations, dares to question traditional approaches, and promotes change and new thinking.
We are looking for someone with high social competence, who is flexible and problem-solving.
