Communicator for Skaraborg Municipal Alliance

Approximately 270,000 people live in Skaraborg. The region is characterized by collaboration, where the municipalities jointly meet challenges and develop solutions. Skaraborg Municipal Alliance is the joint collaborative organization for the 15 municipalities and serves as a platform for regional development work.

To meet ongoing societal transitions and contribute to a sustainable and competitive Skaraborg, we are now looking for a communicator who can support and develop our internal and external communication, as well as highlight the efforts carried out within the operations.

Responsibilities

As a communicator at Skaraborg Municipal Alliance, you have a broad role with a focus on operational communication work, while also contributing to the planning and development of communication.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

providing advice and support to managers and employees on communication and marketing issues
planning and implementing communication initiatives in smaller and larger contexts
being creative and producing content for internal and external channels such as web, intranet, social media, press, and events
writing news, press releases, and other editorial content
developing messages, communication plans, and materials adapted to target groups and channels
collaborating with external suppliers regarding design, printing, and production

You work closely with operations and management, collaborate with many different functions, and contribute to clear, coordinated, and efficient communication.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

an academic degree in media and communication studies, journalism, marketing, or other education considered equivalent
good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish, as well as good knowledge of English
experience working as a communicator or marketer, from public or private sector. It is meritorious if you have experience working in a politically governed organization, as well as competence in areas such as marketing, graphic design, photography and film, strategic communication, or web work.

You have a professional and service-oriented approach and can independently drive issues within your area of responsibility. You enjoy working both operationally and with development assignments, are structured, and have the ability to prioritize when the workload is high.

You are proactive, contribute with constructive suggestions, and find it easy to build trusting relationships. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Employment Terms

Type of employment: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 6 months or longer.
