Description of the Operations

Forensic Psychiatry is a unique operation within Sahlgrenska University Hospital, located in Gunnilse, approximately 20 minutes by public transport from central Gothenburg. The mission of Forensic Psychiatry is to provide individually adapted psychiatric care and rehabilitation to patients who have been sentenced to care. The operation manages outpatient and inpatient facilities with enhanced security classification and also treats patients deprived of their liberty under other legislation when they require acute psychiatric specialist care. Forensic Psychiatry has a societal protection responsibility, with the goal that rehabilitation takes place in a safe manner for the patient, employee, and society. Thus, Forensic Psychiatry has a dual mission: both societal protection and care.

The operation has six inpatient units, and in addition, there is an activity house, an outpatient clinic with two mobile teams, and other units with important functions for the operation. Our units work in close collaboration with the research unit CELAM (Center for Ethics, Law, and Mental Health).

Rehabilitation Unit 8 offers 24-hour care for patients undergoing ongoing forensic psychiatric care. We are now looking for a Section Manager who, together with the manager and employees, wants to drive the unit forward.

Job Description

As a Section Manager, you work in close collaboration with the Unit Manager. Together, you work to develop the quality of both the unit and the operation as a whole. You are responsible for the daily operations of the unit, which means you coordinate and lead employees in operational work. Together with the manager and employees, you work to maintain a good work environment and are driving improvement efforts.

About You

We are looking for you with leadership qualities and who is a clear communicator with an interest in leadership. You are responsive, flexible, relationship-building, communicative, and confident in yourself. You can spread joy in the work group and get the group to work towards common goals; you are creative and happy to come up with new ideas. We see that you are independent, can make your own decisions, and have good collaboration skills.

Personal suitability is highly valued. Previous experience of leadership, resource planning, and scheduling is meritorious.
