Payroll Consultant for the Municipal Executive Board

In this role, you play a key part within the Municipal Executive Board. Our mission is to lead and support the municipality's development. We create the conditions for our operations to achieve their goals.

At the HR and Payroll Department, we employ payroll consultants, system administrators, payroll economists, case handlers for pensions/insurance/benefits, and business developers. The Payroll Unit is a forward-thinking team with diverse, complementary competencies and experiences, united by the ability to deliver value to our users together.

We process approximately 10,000 payrolls per month for 16 different employers, and our staff is actively involved in the ongoing dialogue with companies, associations, and municipalities in collaboration. The aim is to achieve payroll management that is as user-friendly and efficient as possible.

We need to complement our team with you, who loves working with payroll and has at least 2–3 years of experience as a payroll consultant/payroll administrator.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role as a payroll consultant, you will work broadly with all tasks occurring within the payroll process. Examples include holiday pay chains, honoraria, deductions, payroll liabilities, and finalizing employment contracts. You receive, coordinate, and resolve cases in our customer service, Servicedesk Lön.

The duties include guiding our users in both payroll matters and the payroll system HR+ 8, including the modules Medvind, HR Portal, and the system WinLas Web.

Everyone in the Payroll Unit contributes to our proactive development work, where we continuously improve our working methods, work environment, processes, and system support. You will participate in joint development activities with the opportunity to lead activities yourself. Here, you have good opportunities to influence your work content, develop yourself, our operations, and contribute to making our users independent and successful.

QUALIFICATIONS

To succeed in the role, you need 2–3 years of experience working as a payroll consultant/payroll administrator in an organization of a similar size to ours. If you have education within the personnel and/or payroll field, we view this as a plus.

You are well-versed in digital tools and working methods and have experience working in a process-oriented manner and enjoy this way of working. You are a team player who looks at the big picture first and has the ability to truly listen and find solutions based on the customer's needs.

Previous experience working with payroll within the collective agreement area, particularly general provisions and the holiday agreement, is meritorious.

Our case management focuses on customer benefit and learning. Payroll doesn't just resolve cases – we build knowledge. We would appreciate it if you have experience from case management where you are passionate about guiding users all the way to the goal and strengthening the user's ability to become independent along the way.

You are good at structuring and prioritizing your work and follow our processes to solve problems and ultimately make the user satisfied. You also have the desire and ability to contribute to the continued development of our payroll delivery and our team!

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-09-01 Or by agreement.

Selection and invitation to interview will take place during week 32.
Employment interviews will be conducted on August 13.
