At Billerud, we believe that by keeping tomorrow in mind, we do our best today. Thanks to our employees, we are a world-leading company in our industry of renewable paper and packaging materials. We are now looking for you who want to contribute your expertise in payroll and help develop our payroll operations. Do you want to reach your full potential and contribute to a sustainable tomorrow? Join us!
We are now looking for a Payroll Associate who wants to combine daily operations with working towards increased digitalization and efficiency. You will become part of an engaged Payroll team responsible for the payrolls of our Swedish companies.
You will work broadly with the payroll process, from payroll runs, controls, and expense reports to supporting managers and employees on matters related to time reporting, absence, and collective agreements. The role gives you the opportunity to take responsibility, work independently, and at the same time be an important part of a team that delivers high quality and service to the business.
At our company, initiative and improvement work are valued, and you will have good opportunities to grow in your role by both broadening your competence and, in the long term, deepening your expertise in areas such as systems, process development, or specialist payroll areas.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Handle payroll for Billerud's Swedish companies.
- Perform controls and reconciliations to ensure accurate payroll.
- Manage absence, parental leave, and time-reported events.
- Ensure that our processes are followed and maintain high quality.
- Contribute to improvement work and the development of our payroll systems and ways of working.
- Work towards smoother collaboration between payroll, HR, and finance.
We put Safety First! At Billerud, we are all responsible for contributing to a safe working environment.
Qualifications
To succeed in the role, you have:
- At least two years of post-secondary education in payroll administration.
- A couple of years of documented experience in payroll work and a good understanding of payroll processes.
- Good knowledge of both Swedish and English.
It is meritorious if you:
- Have authorization in payroll (SRF).
- Have experience with systems such as Medvind, HRM, or similar.
- Have worked with different collective agreements, for example, the Paper industry agreement.
- Have experience driving initiatives related to system support in payroll, HR, finance, or similar.
Personal Attributes
We place great importance on your personality. To thrive in the role, we believe you are an engaged and results-oriented person who takes responsibility for your work and drives it forward with high quality. You are curious with a proactive attitude and a desire to develop and learn new things.
You enjoy collaborating with others and contribute to the team's common results through an unpretentious and positive approach to work. At the same time, you are confident in yourself and your abilities, have high integrity, and act responsibly in a job where structure, regulations, and precision are of great importance. You also have a strong interest in systems and a good ability to quickly familiarize yourself with new ways of working and IT systems.
Our values are important to us, and we believe that you, as an applicant, identify with our values: Care for each other and we keep our promises.
