About the workplace

The Centre for Development and Learning (Cul) offers a wide range of courses in Swedish for Immigrants, basic and upper secondary adult education, vocational adult education (Yrkesvux), apprenticeships, and adapted adult education (Komvux). Cul also offers university college programs, opportunities to study certain university courses on-site, and study and career guidance.

At our facility, municipal residents can raise their educational level to increase opportunities for employment or further studies. We assist businesses and the public sector with competence supply. Cul has a close and beneficial collaboration with external actors such as Employment and Social Services, Universities/Colleges, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and the Region.

Job Responsibilities

As an administrator at the reception, you are a central contact point for students, visitors, and partners of the adult education program. You are responsible for creating a professional and welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that administrative processes run smoothly.

Main Responsibilities:

Reception and Service

• Receive and greet visitors, students, and external contacts at the reception.
• Answer inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
• Handle daily reception duties such as mail, distribution of materials, and information.

Administrative Tasks

• Ensure that reception functions and routines operate efficiently.
• Handle ongoing administration related to students and operations.
• Contribute to structure and order in administrative work.

Coordination with Universities

• Plan and schedule examination times in collaboration with universities/colleges.
• Serve as a contact person and coordinate between adult education and universities.
• Ensure examination routines are followed. Serve as an invigilator during exams if needed.

Student Follow-up

• Follow up on students completing vocational training.
• Compile and document results and completions.
• Contribute to the organization's quality work.

Your Profile

• Is self-motivated and takes responsibility for your tasks.
• Has a holistic view and can see how different parts of the operation connect.
• Is structured, has good organizational and prioritization skills, and possesses strong computer literacy.

About the Department

We teach children to read, calculate, and discover the world around them. Here, we follow our youngest municipal residents from preschool until they graduate from upper secondary school. Through our adult education, one can learn Swedish as a second language, take individual courses, or pursue longer education. With joy, engagement, participation, and a scientific foundation, we want to increase knowledge, creativity, development, and the desire to learn.
