We are now looking for a Research Assistant in Construction Logistics and Industrialized Building.

About the job

In this position, you will conduct a preliminary study focused on construction logistics, industrialized building, and project-based production. The tasks primarily involve conducting a research overview and literature review, compiling relevant research areas, and identifying potential research gaps.

The duties also include preparing a memorandum with suggestions for concrete research ideas, contributing to formulating the direction and potential research questions for a future doctoral project within infra-informatics, and compiling material that can be used in future research grant applications. The work may also involve contacting companies, industry organizations, and international researchers to identify relevant needs, possible case studies, and future collaboration opportunities.

About you

The position requires a Master of Science degree, Master's degree, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field, such as civil engineering, urban and rural development, construction logistics, or a closely related subject. We also look for strong ability to conduct qualified analyses, compile research, and formulate clear written reports.

Furthermore, the position requires good proficiency in speaking and writing in both Swedish and English. Experience with research-oriented work, literature studies, report writing, as well as contacts with companies, industry organizations, or international research environments, is considered meritorious.

You will work at Campus Norrköping in the Construction Logistics unit, which is part of the Department of Communication and Transport Systems (https://liu.se/forskning/kommunikations-och-transportsystem) at ITN (https://liu.se/organisation/liu/itn).

About the employment

Fixed-term employment for four months, full-time.

Start date by agreement.

The position may be subject to a security classification. If so, a security investigation with background check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made.
