Do you have an education in accounting/finance or data analysis and want an exciting role within supervision to promote a stable financial market? The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (FI) is now looking for an analyst for the Solvency Supervision unit!

About the job

The Solvency Supervision unit is part of the Risk Supervision department within the Insurance area. As an analyst, you work with the supervision of insurance and occupational pension companies and groups with the aim of promoting both financial stability and consumer protection.

You analyze the capital base and solvency of insurance and occupational pension companies and contribute to the development of analyses and working methods in the area. The work includes both ongoing analysis and method development to strengthen and streamline supervision. Furthermore, you participate as an expert in the assessment of licensing cases.

The work involves frequent contact with economists, lawyers, actuaries, analysts, and financial supervisors in the Insurance area, as well as to some extent other areas within the authority and with supervisory authorities in other countries.

Your education and experience

We are looking for you who have

  • academic education in accounting/finance or data analysis
  • interest in developing methods and working practices within your area of responsibility
  • good knowledge of accounting
  • good knowledge of data analysis
  • excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.

The following are meritorious:

  • academic education in both accounting/finance and data analysis
  • knowledge of accounting for insurance companies
  • education or knowledge in group accounting
  • education with specialization in finance and financial theory
  • knowledge of the Insurance Business Act, the Occupational Pensions Act, Solvency II, and IORP II
  • a few years of professional experience in financial accounting, finance, or data analysis, preferably from the insurance or occupational pension sector.
