1 vacancy.
Are you a trained social worker and want to ensure that children and young people receive the right interventions at the right time? Here you will have an independent role with personal responsibility, while having close support from colleagues and team leaders. We warmly welcome your application!
The Authority under the Care Committee is responsible for providing interventions to people with disabilities who need support in their daily lives. The Authority is divided into eight units, each working towards different target groups.
We are now looking for a Social Case Manager for the Children and Young People unit. Here, ten social case managers work together with a team leader and a unit manager. We process interventions according to both the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and the SoL (Social Services Act) for children and young people aged 0–18. The work is always based on a clear child's perspective, with a strong focus on involving children in decisions that concern them.
Our workplace is centrally located in Uppsala, in the City Hall. Here we work in bright and modern premises where you can choose your workspace based on the tasks you need to perform. Here you have great opportunities to plan and organize your own work. Thanks to our digitized case processing system, you can also work from home a few days a week.
Description of Duties
As a Social Case Manager, you receive applications, investigate needs, make decisions, and follow up on cases in close dialogue with the child, guardians, and other important people in the child's network. You also collaborate with other departments, authorities, and the region to create a holistic picture of the child's needs.
The role also includes informing about the authority's mission, our interventions, current legislation, and the user's rights. You keep up to date by searching for information about new court rulings and using legal databases to ensure that case processing complies with current legal standards.
We strive to be open and clear with our users and to provide good service while ensuring legally secure and efficient case processing. The authority is constantly developing, both in terms of working methods and organization, and you will have the opportunity to contribute to this work.
When you start with us, you will receive an induction period with the support of a mentor and access to an induction package with training that provides a secure start in the role of a Social Case Manager.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work. You need to have good oral and written skills in Swedish as the work involves documentation and contact with both children and guardians.
It is meritorious if you have experience with Individual Needs Centered (IBIC) or education in the field. We would like you to have experience of working with authorities and with the target group of people with disabilities. It is also an advantage if you have worked in the business system Lifecare.
As a person, you are flexible and adapt easily to changed situations and new conditions when meeting with children, young people, and their families. You have good empathetic ability and can quickly put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation. You are clear in your communication and ensure that everyone understands the information and decisions. At the same time, you work systematically and keep good order in your processes so that cases are handled legally securely and with high quality.
