The Child and Education Administration in Vimmerby Municipality is responsible for all pedagogical activities, from preschool to university, and is also responsible for Swedish for Immigrants (SFI) and societal orientation for newly arrived refugees. RESPONSIBILITIES

As a student assistant, you are a key person for students with special support needs in their school day, and you play an important role in supporting and promoting learning and well-being among our students. Your task is to create good conditions for students' development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in everyday life. You work closely with our teachers and function as a resource in the classroom while providing individual support to individual students. You work to create a positive and safe atmosphere in both the classroom and on the schoolyard with the goal of achieving increased independence for the student and a reduced need for support from you as a student assistant. In collaboration with other school staff, you work to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel secure in the school's operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

We see that you:

• Are educated as a student assistant or childcare worker.
• Have experience working in an adapted primary school with students in need of special support.
• Have experience with low-affective handling (calm and non-reactive approach).
• Are swim competent.

Furthermore, we see that you have a high degree of personal maturity and are self-reliant in your work, while contributing to a secure and supportive environment for both colleagues and students through good cooperation skills. You have experience with low-affective handling and act securely and stably even in challenging situations. With pedagogical insight, creativity, and sensitivity, you adapt your approach to the students' needs, and through strong responsibility-taking and a positive attitude, you ensure structure, stability, and a professional approach in everyday life.

In the selection process, we will place great emphasis on personal qualities and experience of working in an adapted primary school.
