At Torslunda School, we work together to give students the best conditions to develop into curious, social, and democratic individuals. We want to show them ways to find and absorb new knowledge and understand the democratic values upon which our society rests. At Torslunda School, we work according to the motto "Health and Learning" and have been a certified Generation Pep school since 2021. Torslunda School is also a VI-school that, together with Linnaeus University, trains new teachers and preschool class teachers. This means that we have several students in our operations during the training period.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will have a shared assignment and start the school year as a supplementary teacher at the lower primary level, primarily grades 1 and 3, to enable, for example, class splitting. Subsequently, you will transition to a mentorship role for a Grade 1 class for the autumn semester and the remainder of the school year.

You will be part of a work team consisting of four other teachers at the lower primary level, but since the school is small, we often work as a whole group. Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting teaching, both individually and together with your colleagues. Collaboration with the leisure center (fritids) takes place continuously throughout the school year. Therefore, we place high demands on your ability to collaborate and be part of a whole. Furthermore, you adapt easily and can maintain focus when conditions sometimes change. You contribute to a good working atmosphere.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with a teaching license to teach in grades F–3 (Preschool Class to Grade 3).

You have a natural interest in children, learning, and developmental work. You understand the importance of collaboration as an important tool for improving the quality of teaching. You have a holistic perspective regarding different learning environments. We assume that you have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents. That you, based on research and proven experience, develop and improve both your individual work and your knowledge regarding collegial work.

To create successful work teams, we are looking for you who are curious, open to different ways of working, and flexible in your approach to collaboration. As a person, you have the ability to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and can contribute to a good working atmosphere. In your work, you are passionate about and skilled at putting the student at the center. Furthermore, you have the ability to work solution-oriented, structured, and goal-directed. Together with your colleagues, you actively work on improvement and development efforts to drive school development forward.

Duration: 6 months or longer, start: semester start August 2026, according to agreement, end: 2027-06-16.
