About the Workplace

Rödsleskolan is located next to the beautiful nature of Döderhultsdalen. The school has approximately 730 students distributed across grades F-3, 4-6, and 7-9, as well as approximately 100 staff members. All educators belong to a work team with an associated coordinator.

At Rödsleskolan, there is dedicated staff with a positive and inclusive approach who work to give the students a good school day. We work with a clear focus and with great respect for our similarities and differences. Rödsleskolan is a Training School that, together with Linnaeus University, educates new teachers. This means that we have several students in our operations.

We are now looking for a certified and engaged teacher for the after-school center who wants to become part of our operations at Rödsleskolan.

Job Responsibilities

Your mission with us is to lay the foundation for a Good Life for the students you meet and teach. Great importance is placed on relationships and a special pedagogical approach.

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for the after-school center or a preschool playground teacher (fritidspedagog). It is meritorious if you have the qualification to teach music.

The position involves working at one of our after-school centers, where you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for the teaching. During school hours, you work together with teachers in the school and carry out various teaching assignments based on needs. There is scheduled planning, both individually and together with colleagues.

As a teacher for the after-school center or preschool playground teacher with us:

• You are responsible for ensuring that the teaching is designed in accordance with the Education Act, the curriculum, and other national and municipal steering documents.
• You are responsible for ensuring that the teaching complements preschool class and primary/lower secondary school, and that collaboration occurs with these school forms.
• You work for a holistic view of teaching where learning, development, and care are included.
• You continuously monitor the development of students and student groups and use the results to develop the operations.
• You offer students a meaningful leisure time by starting from the students' needs, interests, and experiences, but also by continuously challenging students further and inspiring them to new discoveries.
• You are responsible for ensuring that the teaching aims to promote students' imagination, empathy, and ability to learn together with others through play, movement, creation with aesthetic expressive forms, as well as exploratory and practical working methods.
• You work for a trusting, open, and respectful collaboration with homes.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for the after-school center or a preschool playground teacher. It is meritorious if you have the qualification to teach music.
