Workplace Description
Kungsholmen Primary School is a comprehensive school (Grades F-9) with approximately 1,100 students. The school includes primary school, adapted primary school (AG), after-school clubs (fritidshem), and youth clubs. The teaching teams are divided into Grades F-3, 4-6, 7-9, and adapted primary school. The school leadership consists of the principal, deputy principals, and an administrative manager.
For every student, regardless of their prerequisites, to develop and progress as far as possible in their learning, knowledge, learning, and safety are crucial for success. At Kungsholmen Primary School, we place great emphasis on safety and student health work. Job Description
In this role, you contribute to creating a safe, structured, and developmental school day for the students based on their individual prerequisites and needs. You are an important part of the school's pedagogical work and work closely with the students throughout the school day, focusing on care, support, and learning.
Together with the work team, you plan and carry out activities before, during, and after school hours. You support the students' social and academic development, follow their progression, and contribute to documenting their development and participation.
You collaborate closely with teachers, childcare assistants, and after-school teachers to create an accessible and adapted learning environment. Collaboration with guardians is an important part of the assignment, where you together create good conditions for the students' development, learning, and well-being.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are trained as a childcare assistant with specialist competence or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
Planning, implementing, evaluating, and following up on operations based on goals and guidelines is second nature to you. You should contribute to creating a meaningful operation, apply flexible working methods, and adapt the learning environment.
We expect you to have high professionalism, a good sense of humor, and experience leading both small and large student groups with specific needs. You contribute to a developmental collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
You have documented experience of working in schools, for example, at least one year of experience as a student assistant or from similar assignments that the employer assesses as relevant. Experience of working in adapted primary school or operations according to LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) is particularly meritorious.
We would like you to have experience working with low-affective approaches and have a good understanding of students with neuropsychiatric disabilities and intellectual disabilities.
