The Department of Education is responsible for preschool, after-school centers, primary school, upper secondary school, as well as adapted primary and upper secondary schools. We have over 3,200 employees at 40 preschools, 22 primary schools, and four upper secondary schools. The Role and Responsibilities

As a school counselor, you will be part of the school's student health team, focusing on promoting, preventive, and remedial work, with an emphasis on creating a good environment for students' health, development, and learning based on proven research. Your duties include working preventively and remedially against bullying, discrimination, and offensive treatment. You will conduct supportive and motivational conversations with individual students and groups, conflict resolution talks, and social investigative and mapping work. You are responsible for values-based work and participate in the planning, drafting, and implementation of action plans within this area. You are available for advice and consultation on various issues. A natural part of your work involves contact with students, guardians, and staff, as well as collaboration with external organizations outside the school, such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and habilitation, etc. You set boundaries based on your assignment and prioritize your tasks according to the Swedish National Agency for Education's directives. You participate in the local crisis group together with the school leadership.

You have a natural, respectful attitude towards people's differences and prioritize safe and good relationships, sharing the school's values. You have the ability to independently identify and create opportunities for change and development at the student, group, and organizational levels. You must also be able to handle and prioritize between different types of cases and tasks. Flexibility is your keyword, and you have a good ability to vary working methods and approaches based on needs.

Skogsbacksskolan is a preschool to grade 9 school with approximately 450 students, including adapted primary school and special preschool.

You will be working with grades preschool to grade 3.

Who You Are

Requirements:

• Social work degree (Socionom)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Digital competence for documentation and other administrative tasks
