About the workplace
Are you ready for a bigger challenge?
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest agency with approximately 40,000 employees nationwide. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
The Service Division
The Service Division (SE) was formally established on January 27, 2025, with the mandate to strengthen the police's interaction with citizens by consolidating operations and national responsibilities under one division. The division will have approximately 720 employees nationwide, led by a division manager, and is organizationally structured into three units and a division office.
The division is responsible for strengthening the police's interaction with citizens and addressing their service needs. We also work on citizen-facing matters and external channels, while continuing to drive digital development to ensure success. The Service Division is also responsible for the agency's information management and is part of the crime-fighting mission. The division holds both operational responsibility and national responsibility (process responsibility) in various areas, as well as the responsibility to develop and monitor these.
The Unit for Disclosure and Information Services within the Service Division is responsible for developing the agency's digital and analog information management within archives, diary registration, written channels, scanning, and the disclosure of public documents. The unit is also responsible for information supply and the international exchange of judgments. As a Register Clerk in the Register Services group, you will be part of the Unit for Disclosure and Information Services and will work with register maintenance in the suspicion and criminal record registers to ensure accurate data, as well as handling register extracts.
Job Responsibilities
As a case handler within Register Services, you will handle cases falling within the unit's areas of responsibility. To succeed in this role, you should be interested in case handling work and thrive in an environment with occasionally high tempo.
We are currently seeking employees for Register Services who will work with applications for register extracts from the suspicion and criminal record registers for both individuals and other authorities, as well as register maintenance in police registers and registers within the justice system. The work involves, among other things, investigating, reviewing, and ensuring that our registers are accurate and in compliance with relevant legislation, as well as answering the public's questions regarding register extracts.
We also engage in improvement work in various projects across several areas related to our operations, in collaboration with other divisions within the agency.
