Do you want to help develop the future of woodwind activities? We are now looking for a clarinet and saxophone teacher for Kulturskolan Upplands-Bro.

The position is 40% and combines teaching with the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the cultural school. You will play a key role in strengthening and developing the woodwind program, creating more opportunities for children and young people to play together, and helping to spark interest in the clarinet and saxophone among new students.

We are looking for someone who is drawn to the opportunity to build and shape activities. You will teach students in clarinet and saxophone while simultaneously working to develop ensemble and orchestra activities. Through collaborations, concerts, trial lessons, and other outreach activities, you will help more children and young people discover the joy of playing music together.

The role includes:

• Individual teaching and/or teaching in small groups in clarinet and saxophone.
• Developing and leading ensemble and orchestra activities in collaboration with colleagues.
• Recruitment and outreach activities to strengthen interest in woodwind instruments.
• Participation in concerts, performances, and other events.
• Collaboration with other cultural school educators to contribute to the development of the activities.

We are looking for you who:

• Have a relevant higher education degree in music with a focus on clarinet, saxophone, woodwinds, or music pedagogy, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• Have broad competence in the woodwind field; experience or the ability to teach additional woodwind instruments, such as oboe or bassoon, is an advantage.
• Have experience teaching clarinet and/or saxophone.
• Have experience or interest in recruiting students and developing activities.
• Have an interest in or experience with ensemble and orchestra activities.
• Are proactive and enjoy creating new opportunities for children and young people.
• Have good collaboration skills and enjoy working together with colleagues.
• Are pedagogical, independent, and flexible in your approach.
