About the Workplace

The Child and Education Administration works on behalf of the Preschool Committee and the School Committee. The administration is responsible for preschool activities, school-age childcare, primary and secondary school, and adapted primary and secondary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a secure educational environment. Here, all our employees play an important role in the implementation.

In August 2024, Utsäljeskolan opened, a newly built school in Huddinge Municipality. The building houses activities for grades F-9 as well as adapted primary and secondary school. The school's premises are spacious, modernly furnished, and contain everything required for high-quality teaching. The school accommodates approx. 800 students and 135 staff members.

Job Description

We are looking for an engaged employee who is responsible for the school's economic administration and IT coordination. The role is broad and combines economic work with technical support for the operation.

We wish for the position to be filled by August 2026 as the municipality is introducing a new economic system. The person employed will have the opportunity to participate in training and introduction measures related to the new system already in August, which makes it important to be able to start the position during this period.

Tasks within Economics

  • Responsible for budget, forecasts, economic follow-up, and analysis.
  • Follows up on economic results, identifies deviations, and proposes measures.
  • Handles purchases, orders, as well as review, accounting, and authorization of invoices.
  • Produces economic reports, key figures, and decision support materials.
  • Participates in closing accounts, economic investigations, and administrative processes.
  • Ensures compliance with economic routines, guidelines, and internal control.
  • Coordinates and develops administrative processes for efficient resource use.
  • Responsible for premises-related issues in collaboration with the principal and maintenance.
  • Supports the principal in economic, operational, and resource planning matters.
  • Collaborates with municipal support functions, suppliers, and external actors.

Tasks within IT

  • Coordinates and administers the school's IT environment.
  • Provides first-line IT support to staff and students.
  • Handles computers, tablets, printers, and other technical equipment.
  • Administers user accounts, permissions, and digital systems.
  • Coordinates contact with IT suppliers and support partners.
  • Supports the introduction of new digital tools and systems.
  • Participates in work with information security and data protection.
  • Responsible for access control systems, keys, access cards, and alarms.
  • Receives and introduces substitutes and handles access cards and planning.
  • Supports substitute management in collaboration with substitute recruiters.
  • Assists maintenance staff as needed and covers for absences.

About You

  • University degree in economics, other relevant education, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience.
  • Very good knowledge of follow-up and planning processes related to budget work.
  • Engaging, proactive, flexible, and structured in your work.
  • High analytical ability.
  • Interest in working operationally with the entire school's activities in close collaboration with management, staff, and students.
  • Experience of collaboration with internal and external contacts.
  • Experience of corresponding tasks within municipal schools.
  • Experience of economic administration and budget follow-up.
  • Good technical understanding and experience of IT support or system administration.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 and administrative systems.
  • Ability to work independently and structure your work.
  • Good service sense and ease in collaborating with students, staff, and external contacts.

Merits

  • Experience from school or public sector operations.
  • Experience with student administrative systems and economic systems.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and information security.
  • Experience with procurement and license management.
