To an assignment at Södertälje Municipality, we are now looking for a Senior Accountant with specialist competence in group accounting. The assignment involves work with consolidated financial statements as well as support in the implementation of system support. About the role and responsibilities

In the role of Senior Accountant at Södertälje Municipality, you are responsible for working with consolidated financial statements (municipal group accounting) and contributing to the development and efficiency of processes in the area. You will also play an important role in evaluating, introducing, and implementing system support for group accounting.

In the role, you will work with preparing and/or supporting the work with consolidated financial statements in connection with interim reporting and annual accounts. You ensure compliance with current regulations (LKBR and RKR) and are responsible for quality assurance and structuring the collection of data from companies and operations.

Furthermore, you contribute to developing and documenting routines, templates, and working methods, as well as improving the analysis and development of note disclosures. You also serve as a support to the finance function in matters related to group accounting.

The position also involves work with the implementation of system support, where you participate in requirement specification, evaluation, and implementation. You contribute to the design of processes and working methods related to the system, perform testing and quality assurance, and support implementation, documentation, and knowledge transfer. The role also includes contributing to change management related to new working methods.

You work independently and function as a key person in the development of the group accounting process, with a focus on quality, structure, and regulatory compliance.

Your background, experience, and competence

• Several years of experience in qualified accounting work
• Documented experience in consolidated financial statements/group accounting
• Experience in municipal group accounting (ska-krav)
• Good knowledge of LKBR and RKR
• Experience working within municipal operations
• Experience working in larger financial systems

Meritorious if you also meet the following

• Experience in implementing system support for group accounting
• Experience with Unit4 ERP
• Experience leading or driving development work within accounting
