For our client, we are currently recruiting an Accountant with expertise in group accounting for a consultancy assignment lasting approximately six months. The assignment starts in late August or early September. The company is located in northern Stockholm and offers a role within a complex operation where you will work broadly with qualified accounting issues and financial reporting.

The client is looking for someone who thrives in a long-term role and is open to a potential employment opportunity with the company after the consultancy assignment ends, provided both parties are satisfied.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing ongoing accounting as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
• Preparing group consolidations and ensuring quality in financial reporting
• Participating in reporting to management, the board of directors, and external stakeholders
• Handling tax calculations, VAT, and tax returns
• Serving as the contact person for external auditors and providing support on accounting-related matters
• Working with accounting in accordance with IFRS

We are looking for someone who

• Has an academic degree in economics or a related field
• Has several years of experience in qualified accounting work, preferably from audit or a large group company
• Has experience with group accounting, closing processes, and financial reporting
• Has worked with IFRS and feels confident handling complex accounting issues
• Has excellent Excel skills and is a proficient system user. Experience with consolidation systems is a plus.
• Has good proficiency in Swedish and English
