Are you passionate about creating the conditions for groundbreaking research and strategic collaborations? Do you want to work closely with researchers, management, and external partners to develop some of Sweden's most significant research initiatives? Then this might be the role for you.
We are looking for a driven and engaged colleague who wants to contribute to strengthening KTH's position as a leading technical university by supporting the development of major research initiatives in collaboration with external actors. In this role, you will have a central part in creating the best possible conditions for future research.
About the department/group
You will become part of the Strategic Initiatives and Collaboration group at the Research Support Office, where we work to support researchers and management in the development of KTH's research activities. We are a competent and engaged team with broad experience and a shared focus on creating value for research and society. The work is characterized by collaboration, development, and the opportunity to influence KTH's strategic direction.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will work with advisory services, coordination, and the development of KTH's strategic research initiatives. This includes, among other things, research centers, infrastructure, larger externally funded research programs, and other strategic initiatives created in collaboration with companies, the public sector, and organizations.
You will support researchers and management throughout the entire process – from idea and application to establishment and further development of major research initiatives. The role also involves contributing to the development of working methods, processes, and routines that make it easier for researchers to succeed in complex research collaborations.
The work also includes investigations, analyses, official replies, and other strategic assignments and tasks. Depending on the needs of the operation, you may also have the opportunity to coordinate larger research centers and collaboration initiatives.
In this role, you will have a varied and developmental position where you work at the intersection of research, strategy, and collaboration – with the opportunity to make a real difference for KTH's future research.

To succeed in this role, you are someone who takes initiative and thrives on driving issues forward in a complex operation. You are good at creating and developing good collaborations and building trusting relationships with researchers, colleagues, and external partners. At the same time, you have a strong service focus and are motivated by providing qualified support, finding solutions, and contributing to others' success in their work.
The role also requires you to be structured and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and keep track of several parallel processes. You work methodically and carefully, while also being able to adapt to changed conditions and handle issues at both strategic and operational levels.
