Do you have an interest, willingness, and engagement to work together with children and young people? Do you like taking responsibility, and can you step in with short notice, even if you receive a booking from the school early in the morning?

As a substitute teacher, you will be right in the middle of the operations, where it is expected that you are flexible and can quickly familiarize yourself with different routines. The school's first lesson starts around 8:00 AM, which requires you to be reachable from approx. 6:30 AM.

Adapted Primary School is a separate school form for children and young people with intellectual disabilities. The activities are adapted to the students' own prerequisites but are based on the curriculum for Adapted Primary School. Students receive their education in smaller classes at one of our four schools or integrated into a regular primary school class. In Härryda Municipality, there are four adapted primary schools, two in Mölnlycke and two in Landvetter.

Adapted Primary School should provide students with intellectual disabilities with an education adapted to each student's prerequisites and, as far as possible, equivalent to that provided in primary school. It is important to work with a low-affective approach.

We are looking for you who want to work at an adapted primary school in Härryda Municipality now until autumn 2026. As a person, you are empathetic, engaged, calm, and responsible with a genuine interest in working with children. You are also flexible and can inspire and engage students.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with persons with disabilities
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both oral and written
• Good computer skills
• Extract from the Police Register (Control of Own Data) and Extract for work in school or preschool
• High school diploma
• Ability to work at least 4-5 full days per week, Monday-Friday
• Be reachable from 6:30 AM

Meritorious:

• Experience working with children with disabilities
• Has worked with a low-affective approach
• Relevant education for the profession
• Relevant professional experience
• A few years of work experience

To obtain employment, an extract from the Police Register must be presented. You order the extract on the police website. If called for an interview, you must bring two extracts from the Police Register, Control of Own Data, in an unopened envelope, and show the Extract for work in school or preschool.
