Do you want to take a key role in a complex and socially important organization where quality, structure, and collaboration are in focus? We are now looking for an experienced financial accountant who wants to contribute their expertise in closing, group accounting, and annual reporting in a business with both association and company structures.

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be a vital addition to the finance department before and during the closing period. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager and contribute both strategically and operationally to ensure efficient processes, high quality, and on-time deliveries.

The assignment involves significant responsibility for creating structure, quality-assuring the accounting, and ensuring that annual reports and closing statements meet high standards prior to external audit.

Your main responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and follow up on the closing process together with the Accounting Manager
• Identify risks and propose improvement measures to ensure quality and delivery security
• Develop and standardize templates, checklists, and documentation related to closing and annual reporting
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations
• Handle complex accounting issues including VAT, taxation, and externally funded projects
• Actively participate in closing work, reconciliations, and preparation of annual reports
• Support audit work and act as the contact person for external auditors
• Contribute to the development of working methods, processes, and knowledge transfer within the finance function

To be successful in this role, you need

• At least 5–10 years of experience in qualified accounting work
• Extensive experience with annual closing, annual reports, and group accounting
• Very good knowledge of K3 (Swedish Accounting Standards) and Swedish accounting regulations
• Experience with complex business structures involving both associations and companies
• Good understanding of VAT and tax issues
• Experience with finance, reporting, and consolidation systems
• Very good skills in Excel and the rest of the Office suite
• Meritorious: Background in auditing
• Meritorious: Experience from the non-profit sector, public sector, or labor-intensive service organizations
• Meritorious: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar systems
