The supported housing facility in Uppsala is designed for individuals aged 21 and older with psychiatric and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities, as well as those who may have substance abuse issues or a history of criminal behavior. We have well-established collaborations with addiction treatment centers and psychiatric units. Residents live in furnished apartments under second-hand rental contracts, offering good standards within a regular residential building.

We offer flexible and individually tailored solutions in coordination with social services and the resident's own wishes.

We are now looking for employees who, with their knowledge, commitment, and positive attitude, wish to work with us. The positions are permanent, and the work schedule covers all hours of the day, including on-call sleeping shifts. The facility will open during the summer and is centrally located in Uppsala. As this is a new facility, we expect everyone to help with whatever is needed to get the operation up and running as quickly as possible.

Job Responsibilities

Your main tasks involve providing support to residents in their daily lives and following up on contacts with healthcare providers and authorities. The role includes documentation and various practical tasks. Working hours are around the clock, including on-call sleeping shifts.

About You

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and humble. We expect you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances. You relate to other people in a listening and smooth manner and take responsibility for finding solutions to situations that may arise during working hours. You enjoy working closely with clients, helping to break isolation, and motivating change.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a two-year post-secondary education equivalent to a university college degree or folk high school education, with a focus on pedagogy or social and behavioral studies. Previous experience within healthcare and social care, as well as experience in treatment work with adults, is meritorious. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.
