About the Role

The Employment Unit (AME) is tasked with supporting municipal residents aged 16–67 who receive social assistance, with the goal of helping them reach employment or education. The target group has diverse experiences, needs, neurodevelopmental disorders (ND), mental health issues, etc., which form the basis for individual planning based on their needs.

Within AME, we work with assessments of work capacity and offer preparatory measures through our operations, Växtverket and Hantverket. We run a café business with work training placements and provide support both before and during studies to create sustainable paths to self-sufficiency.

The operations must meet the Activity Requirement that comes into force on July 1st. This means that individuals receiving social assistance must engage in full-time activities with a focus on work.

You will be involved in developing an employer team tasked with arranging internship and work training placements.

Responsibilities

As an employment consultant, you will be part of a team consisting of one other employment consultant and a coordinator. Together, you will work to support participants registered with the Employment Unit in moving closer to self-sufficiency.

In your role, you are responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining internship and work training placements. You actively work to create and maintain long-term relationships with employers, acting as their primary contact person. Meanwhile, other staff members are responsible for the individual support provided to participants at the workplace.

• Identify and develop internship and work training placements
• Match participants' conditions and needs with suitable workplaces
• Motivate and pitch participants to employers
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with employers
• Follow up on placements and ensure they function over time
• Identify development opportunities and strengthen employer engagement
• Collaborate with other municipal operations to create sustainable solutions
• Actively participate in development work and contribute to the continued development of the operations

Qualifications

• Category B driver's license (Company visits occur extensively both within the municipality, which is geographically large, and in neighboring municipalities).
• Post-secondary education that meets and is relevant to the assignment and the target group's needs is meritorious.

You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions.
