Do you want to work in a central IT function with an international mandate? We are now looking for an IT Technician who wants to contribute to ensuring a stable and well-functioning IT environment for the Government Offices' foreign missions and the Government Offices.

Your workday. Sweden's tomorrow.

As an IT Technician, you will be part of a team responsible for the operation, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of the Government Offices' workstation equipment for users at our foreign missions. The team has a central function in the operations and works primarily through case management, where there is ample scope to plan and structure your own work.

The role involves close collaboration with several functions within the organization, and you will also contribute to the development of working methods, routines, and processes.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for monitoring and managing the lifecycle of workstation equipment so that the products meet the organization's requirements and function as intended. You handle warranty cases with suppliers and ensure that the support organization has the information required to provide effective support to users.

You will also work with troubleshooting of computers and peripheral equipment, inventory management, as well as packaging and delivery of equipment to our foreign missions. The work also includes participating in the preparation of budget proposals and improvement and efficiency work related to the organization's processes.

Your background

We are looking for you who have a high school education and a few years of experience in similar IT tasks. You have experience troubleshooting computers and peripheral equipment and are accustomed to installing and handling physical components in computers and related equipment.

You have good knowledge of Windows 11.

It is meritorious if you have post-secondary education in IT and experience working in larger organizations with globally distributed IT environments. Experience with supplier contacts and working in close collaboration with the business is also meritorious.

It is also meritorious if you have knowledge of ITIL, XLPM, Active Directory, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.

Your attributes

The Government Offices' employee criteria are holistic view, development, and results. Everyone working at the Government Offices needs to have a holistic perspective and collaborate for the benefit of the operations. You are expected to contribute your perspective and competence and be open to others. You will bring ideas and new approaches to improve and develop the operations and your own competence. You are results-oriented in your actions and adapt when needs and direction change.

To succeed in the role, you need to have a genuine interest in IT and technology and a desire to continue developing your knowledge. You work independently, take initiative, and drive your tasks forward while also being easy to collaborate with.

You are analytical and solution-oriented and can switch between handling details and seeing the big picture. We also believe that you have a natural interest in technological development and environmental monitoring, as well as a desire to broaden your competence to support the operations where needed.

Great importance will be placed on personal attributes.
