The role

This is a new, senior role sitting at the centre of Aura's AI transformation. You will own the group's applied AI capability: defining how AI is built and deployed across our agencies, leading client engagements where AI creates measurable outcomes, and building the team and tooling that makes it repeatable.

You report into group leadership and work across all seven agencies. Expect a mix of strategic direction, hands-on delivery, and commercial development.

What you will do

Define and drive Aura's AI strategy, decide which AI services we offer, which platforms we standardise on, and where we invest. Translate market signals into positioning that differentiates Aura from both pure tech vendors and traditional consultancies.

Lead client AI engagements, own the full lifecycle: identifying high-value use cases, scoping and designing solutions, assessing ROI, and overseeing production delivery. Work spans AI agents, RAG pipelines, workflow automation, governance frameworks, and AI-augmented content and communications workflows. You will join senior client meetings and sales conversations as the AI authority in the room.

Bridge strategy and delivery: Translate executive ambitions into systems that actually ship. Translate technical constraints into business tradeoffs that clients understand. The focus is production-grade outcomes, not research.

Build and develop the AI team, grow a small, high-output team of AI engineers, architects, and specialists. Set technical standards, maintain delivery quality, and run internal AI education across the group.

Create reusable IP: Turn custom client work into repeatable offerings: frameworks, accelerators, evaluation pipelines, reference architectures, and demo environments. This is how Aura scales AI from one-off projects into a practice.

What we are looking for

Background

• Strong engineering foundation with hands-on AI/LLM experience
• Track record delivering AI systems in production, not just prototypes
• Client-facing experience — you are comfortable in executive conversations and know how to sell and scope
• Experience leading or building teams

Mindset

• You think in outcomes and constraints, not just possibilities
• You are comfortable with ambiguity and can move without complete information
• You care about craft: the agents, prompts, and architectures you ship reflect a high standard

Nice to have

• Experience in communications, marketing, or agency contexts
• Familiarity with the Swedish market
• Startup or practice-building background

What success looks like

After 12 months, you will have:

• Grown AI revenue meaningfully across the group
• Delivered at least two flagship client AI engagements that are live in production
• Built and documented reusable AI frameworks used across agencies
• Established Aura as a credible AI partner in the markets we serve

Location and setup

Stockholm-based. Hybrid working with regular in-person time across Aura agencies. Some international travel for client engagements.
