The Cultural School is part of Culture Sundbyberg, the unit that works with culture for all ages. The Cultural School covers a range of different artistic expressions such as music, dance, theatre, visual arts and design, game development, and circus. Through course activities, open creative activities, holiday programs, and much more, the Cultural School contributes to children and young people aged 4–20 in Sundbyberg and Solna having a meaningful leisure time.

Job Description

As a visual arts and design teacher, you will teach at the Cultural School’s atelier at the Culture Centre in Hallonbergen as well as at the new Culture House in Ursvik. You are responsible for teaching visual arts and design to students of various ages and varying skill levels. Your duties include planning and conducting visual arts and design lessons, including events and projects. You prepare students for various activities and adapt the teaching to the participants' individual needs and abilities. You will be involved from the start in establishing the operations at the new Culture House in Ursvik. Additionally, you will actively participate in the Cultural School’s development work, collaborate with colleagues across different art forms, and contribute to holiday programs, events, meetings, and professional development. Administration, contact with students and guardians, is included in the role, as is contributing to the achievement of organizational goals together with colleagues and management.

About You

You have relevant pedagogical education or equivalent deemed suitable by the employer, as well as experience and competence in artistic activities. You have a genuine interest in children's own creative power and will. You are accustomed to collaboration and independent work, and have knowledge and experience of group teaching.

About the Position

The position is a permanent employment at 80%. We apply a semester-based employment model. Start date: August 17, 2026, or as agreed.
