About the School

International English School (IES) in Solna is a comprehensive school covering grades 4–9 with approximately 700 students.

At IES Solna, we work to ensure that all our students achieve their full academic potential in a safe and calm learning environment. To make IES Solna a successful school, we utilize the competencies, experiences, and diverse backgrounds of our students, as well as their thoughts and feedback, in our work.

The Team

You will be part of a teaching team where time is allocated for jointly developing instruction and classroom leadership. As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from different parts of the world, giving each student the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites and abilities.

Together with your colleagues, you create the conditions for students' knowledge development to meet the goals of the curriculum.

Qualifications

We are currently looking for a certified special needs teacher. Qualifications in other subjects are an advantage.

You have a positive outlook on people and the ability to build good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a teacher with us, you find it enjoyable, stimulating, and rewarding to teach students from various countries and give each student the opportunity to develop based on their own prerequisites and abilities.

• You plan, implement, and evaluate teaching in our learning studio, working to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
• You take responsibility for systematically documenting, analyzing, evaluating, and following up on students' knowledge development.
• You conduct reading and writing screenings and follow up on results with staff and guardians.
• You are clear and precise in your communication and have the ability to motivate and inspire students to absorb new knowledge.
• You can express yourself well in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.
• You have good knowledge of ICT as a pedagogical tool.
