At Agnesfrid Gymnasium, we are looking for a teacher to instruct in Social Studies, Swedish, and Swedish as a Second Language. Work with us and help shape the future of Malmö's residents and society.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher, you work to ensure that students develop their full potential – both academically and socially. You support, motivate, and stimulate each student to meet the knowledge requirements based on their individual prerequisites. Your work includes planning, teaching, and assessment, as well as evaluating and developing the pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governing documents. During the upcoming academic year, instruction in entrepreneurship as well as service and customer care may also be included. The role includes mentorship.

We are a learning organization that promotes knowledge exchange, where you find yourself in an environment characterized by collegial learning and development. Together with colleagues, you work to create a good learning and working environment for both students and staff. You also contribute to the quality and development work at the school.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Teaching certification (Lärarlegitimation)
• Qualification to teach Social Studies, Swedish, and Swedish as a Second Language at the upper secondary level
• Experience using digital tools for communication and pedagogy
• Good understanding of the school's goals and governing documents
• Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits:

• Qualification to teach service and customer care as well as entrepreneurship
• Experience teaching Social Studies, Swedish, and/or Swedish as a Second Language
• Experience in other teaching or pedagogical work.

We are looking for someone who is confident in the teaching role and creates good conditions for students' learning and development. You adapt the teaching to the student's and group's prerequisites and prior knowledge through a creative approach and excellent pedagogical skills.

Your working style is characterized by good structure, and you prioritize and organize tasks efficiently. Furthermore, you contribute to good collaborations and communicate openly, clearly, and listen attentively to your surroundings. You also understand how students' background, culture, and group affiliation affect learning, and you create an inclusive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed.

About the Workplace

Agnesfrid Gymnasium is a small school with a strong sense of community. Here, both upper secondary and adult education are offered in vocational and introductory programs for students interested in electricity, technology, vehicles, and transport. Teaching takes place in professional facilities where service, repairs, maintenance, and installations are taught. The school is conveniently located in Fosieby, where many of the large car companies are based, providing proximity to the labor market and cooperation partners.
